Pick the Fabric, Keep the Shape

Fabric decides how a cap feels, how long it keeps its shape and how clean your logo reads. Here is everything we run, and what each one is actually good at.

Fabrics we run

Nine surfaces cover the caps and beanies in our catalog. The fabric is the first decision, because it limits what the decoration can do.

The same artwork behaves differently on every surface. Twill has a flat, tightly woven face, so thread sits where it is placed. Corduroy has pile — a raised rib that pushes thread sideways and hides anything thinner than about 2.5 mm. Mesh on a trucker back panel has holes; dense stitching closes them up and looks like a patch someone stapled on.

This is why we ask for the fabric before we quote the craft. Changing fabric after artwork is approved means redigitising the design, and often a second sample.

Not sure which combination holds? Send the artwork and the blank you are considering — we will tell you what will and will not work before you pay for a sample.

FAQ

Quick answers

Wool blend holds the shape of a structured winter cap, while cotton or acrylic knits are the softer option for beanies and cuffed styles. Corduroy is the middle ground for an autumn drop.

Yes. Cotton twill is the baseline. Wool blends, corduroy and technical fabrics like nylon cost more per metre, and they can shift what craft is practical on the surface.

Fabrics follow the same rule as colours: 25 pcs is one style, one colour, one fabric. A second fabric or colourway is its own 25 pcs — tell us the split you have in mind and we will quote it properly.
